As a current subscriber to our VPN services we wanted to make sure you were of the benefits that the OpenVPN connection method may offer.

We decided it was best to email all VPN subscribers after some users reported error codes with their VPN connections this week, in all cases they were using the RegularVPN method rather than OpenVPN.
For some time now the OpenVPN method has been our recommended solution for overcoming connection issues with localised ISPs. Using OpenVPN may also increase your connection speed as our OpenVPN servers compress the data stream between your PC and our server. OpenVPN also uses a high rate of encryption at 2048bit rather than RegularVPN at 128bit.
OpenVPN is a free and open source virtual private network (VPN) program for creating point-to-point or server-to-multi client encrypted tunnels between host computers. It is capable of establishing direct links between computers across network address translators (NATs) and firewalls.
We appreciate that not all users will have been able to setup and install OpenVPN previously, so we've simplified the process this week. You now simply need download the software from our knowledgebase, install on your computer and enter your username and password to connect.

If you do have problems setting up OpenVPN then we can also now offer a Remote Setup service, whereby we can login to your computer and configure everything for you.

Please Note - OpenVPN works with exactly the same username and password as you would use with RegularVPN.
